The Ukrainian Association for Information Processing and Pattern Recognition is a voluntary public creative scientific organisation which unites research teams of institutions, organisations as well as citizens of Ukraine on a voluntary basis and a community of interests to achieve the goal and tasks provided by the UAsIPPR Constitution.
Now UAsIPPR unites more than 75 researchers. It organises international conferences, publishes their proceedings.
The main goal is to develop Theory and Applications of Signal/Image Processing and Pattern Recognition in Ukraine and by this way to contribute towards improvements in the quality of life.
For participation in the labor of the Association the members are invited on a voluntary basis, common creative, professional and business interests, mutual respects and collaboration.
Some well-known techniques were originated and developed in Ukraine: Generative Model for Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) in Automatic Speech Recognition; Two-Dimensional Structural Picture Analysis and Recognition; Heuristic Algorithms for Identification, Extrapolation and Prediction; Special Hardware Architectures for Signal/Image Processing.
